Stormy was a sweet little kitty that we found by a dumpster at our old apartment complex. She followed my husband back up to our apartment and that is when we noticed that she looked sick. At the time we only had two cats, Oliver and Rascal, and were not planning on getting another. But after meeting Stormy I couldn't just leave her outside and not help her.
The night we brought her in there was a huge storm with rain, wind, thunder and lightning. Waking up the next morning to see the remnants of the storm solidified for me that we did make the right decision in keeping Stormy. It also made it easy to name her - Stormy.
The day after we found her we brought her to the vet. After testing it was found that she was in multi organ failure. The vet we had taken her to said she had seen that a lot in the area from people purposely poisoning stray cats.
Stormy stayed at the vet's office for a few days to receive some fluids and then we took her home for a few days to see if she would improve. Unfortunately, she did not improve and it was best for Stormy for us to let her go. We spent one final day with her and then took her to an emergency vet where she was put to sleep.
Stormy was only in our life for a short time, but she made a huge impact on me. I told myself that I would never let another animal know suffering like that. My hope was to someday open a sanctuary and rescue in her name .

Oliver had been with me for most of his life. Before that he was a neighbors cat. When the neighbor's moved they left him behind, and Oliver adopted me.
Oliver was polydactyl so he had 'thumbs' on each hand which earned him the nickname "Thumbs." He was a sweet kitty who loved to be cuddled and pet. He was also a big kitty, the tallest cat I've ever met.
He loved to give head boops and gum you, and, well everything.
When he got the zoomies it sounded like there was a horse galloping around the house. He loved to play with little mouse toys. His favorite thing was catnip. That boy could roll in catnip all day long, it truly made him happy. And frisky. Catnip zoomies from him were on a whole other level.
Unfortunately as Oliver got older he started having more and more joint problems. We tried a few different things to help him, but it got to the point where we felt he wasn't happy and was in too much pain and we had to let him go.
Oliver was a special boy that I miss every single day.

Meeka mission impossible-d herself into the house. Literally.
While in our son's room changing his diaper one day, mewing was heard from the floor vent next to the changing table. When looking down at the vent we saw Meeka looking back up at us. I had to take the cover off the floor vent and lure her out with can food. Thankfully, she was unharmed. The ducts under our house however, all needed to be replaced.
Meeka enjoys playing with the other cats, especially her sister Minnie, but what she loves most is to find a comfy sleeping spot and sleep the day away. When her and her sister were outside, neither of them actually played like the kittens they were, because they couldn't. Now being inside, both of the girls know that they are safe and it shows in how they act.
She doesn't like to be touched and likes to keep her distance from us at all times, but we still love her even if she only tolerates us.

Moana was a stray from a second colony that moved into our neighborhood. She would come by sporadically. Sometimes a few days in a row, and then be gone for weeks. We had been trying to arrange how and when to trap her when she gave birth to five kittens in a cat shelter we had set up on the side of our house. The kittens were only a day or two old, so I immediately set up a safe place inside our house and brought Moana and her kittens in. Unfortunately, one of her kittens passed away the first night they were inside. Her four remaining kittens were all named after "Moana" characters since our son decided to name this momma cat Moana.
Moana loves to be carefree and play with her kittens and other cats inside the house. She mostly comes in at night and spends her days outside enjoying nature. She is very stubborn about coming back into the house when I have to get everyone in because of bad weather or such.
She has adjusted well to being an inside cat. She doesn't like to be pet, but will tolerate being held by us when necessary.
