Cat Spaces

While the cats have run of the entire house, we do have a few places that are solely for them.

One of those places is a room where we have put their litter boxes as well as two cat towers and several wall beds. They all enjoy the various heights of the sleeping spots and are usually in their sleeping if it is too warm outside.

The cats also have an enclosed outside space that they have access to via a cat door window attachment. We took a structure that are commonly used as an outdoor dog kennel and wrapped it with several layers of wire mesh to make sure nothing and no one could get in or out. We built a ramp and attached it to a window ledge outside our kitchen window. We enclosed the ramp in wire mesh as well. We then bought a cat door that attaches to a window so that the cats can come in or go out as they wish. In their enclosure they have toys, water, and a sand pit for a litter box. They also have a cat tower structure that we built for them, and they love it. All the cats love to go out and enjoy the outside. 

The backyard where the structure is located is fenced in with a six foot privacy fence. The structure is necessary for their safety because of the area we live in, and all the cats have thrived more since we built it for them.
